On June 1st, WAT-AAH! Launches The Show Me WAT-YOU-GOT! Web-Based Kid Talent and Skills Challenge.
Show Me WAT-YOU-GOT! is a new website (wat-you-got.com) encouraging kids between the ages of 5-17 to participate and show off their talents and skills in music, soccer, dance, art, and many other categories. The website features a series of animated videos of the WAT-AAH! Boy bragging about his skills and challenging kids to “Show Me WAT-YOU-GOT!,” by submitting a video response to prove he can be outdone.
Any kid with talent is encouraged to participate. The contest will run from June 1, 2010 to September 30, 2010. All entries will be featured on the site and judged on the following criteria: creativity, skills and expertise, memorability, and overall impact. While all the winning kids will receive a cash reward, the winner of the soccer challenge will win a trip for two to Italy to watch the 2010 European Champions, InterMilan, play, and the winner of the music challenge will have the chance to professionally record and mix their song in NYC, and present to Al Branch — a chief talent scout for Def Jam Records and manager of well known artists such as Kanye West and Drake.
“Now that school is almost over, WAT-AAH! is determined to get kids to be active, motivated and healthy all through the summer. We want kids to show off their talent, ANY TALENT, and to amaze and surprise us!” says the founder and CEO of WAT-AAH!, Rose Cameron.
Founded in New York City in 2008 by Rose Cameron and her son, Jack, WAT-AAH! is the first water “cool” enough to convince kids to switch away from soda and other sugar laden beverages that litter the marketplace. With one in three children in the US considered to be overweight and obese, WAT-AAH!’s mission is very clear: reverse kids’ dependency on sugary drinks and help fight childhood obesity.
