NEW YORK, Sept. 27, 2011/ — WAT-AAH! is proudly partnering with Oscar nominated actor, Bill Murray and Hootie and the Blowfish lead singer, Darius Rucker for the Slim Down the South Celebrity Softball Challenge on Saturday, October 1 at the Joe Riley Park in Charleston, South Carolina. This Softball Challenge has been organized to raise money and awareness for Louie’s Kids, an organization that combats childhood obesity in the areas hardest hit by this epidemic.
“WAT-AAH!’s mission is to reverse kids’ dependency on sugary beverages, and make water their first choice for hydration; Louie’s Kids raises funds to treat kids battling with childhood obesity. We are clearly united and share a common goal,” says Rose Cameron, CEO of WAT-AAH!
The two headlining celebrities will be named head coaches for the competing celebrity-studded teams: LA Laker Drew Goudelock, Olympic skier Ashley Caldwell, Top Chef Ariane Duarte, Army Wives actors Richard Bryant, Wendy Davis, and Bryan McNamara, Biggest Loser contestants Ed Brantley, Heba Salama, and Bernie Salazar, along with many other familiar names and faces. Each team will be hydrated by WAT-AAH! as well as over 5,000 participating attendees.
