Industry Responds to New Federal Dietary Guidelines

As the guidelines remove long-held suggestions to limit both dietary cholesterol and egg intake, these industry groups were, not surprisingly, thrilled with the new guidelines. They issued a joint release lauding the new guidelines, mentioning that eggs fit into many of the encouraged diet plans “as an affordable, nutrient-rich source of high-quality protein [that] can help Americans build healthful diets.”
