BevNET Review: The Black Raspberry variety of this brand starts off with a grape-like aroma and then proceeds with a flavor that is basically a mix of grape and cherry flavors. We honestly can't say that this was terribly appealing to us. Nor can we say that consumers will be too thrilled about this product's confused taste -- is it grape or is it cherry? In addition, this flavor suffers from the same corn syrup coating that plagues the others. For a product that claims to be hand-crafted and gourmet, it seriously disappoints.Reviewed on: 8/9/2005

BevNET Review: Flathead Lake Monster's Granny Apple soda is definitely the product to try if you're in the mood for something that tastes like candy. While it doesn't taste remotely natural, it is still a refreshing product if you consider it for what it is. The quality inside the bottle should definitely be improved if this product wants to truly deserve the "hand crafted" tag line that's on the label. Speaking of the label, it's busy and confusing, with a style that will likely only appeal to children and consumers seeking a value-priced product. BevNET Review: Huckleberry-flavored Flathead Lake Monster is billed as a "hand crafted gourmet soda,” but unfortunately there's little more to back that claim than a glass bottle with a funky label. Sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup, this soda is overly sweet and somewhat syrupy to the finish, with only a very light amount of carbonation. Its fruit flavor is good and natural-tasting, but it also leaves behind a bit of an aftertaste. The quality is on par with a store brand soda. The label is busy and confusing and the lizard-like creature didn't seem like something that belonged on a gourmet soda. What you have here is nothing more than a run-of-the-mill CSD that's doing a bad job of hiding in a clear glass bottle.Reviewed on: 8/9/2005

BevNET Review: Sour Cherry is, without hesitation, the best flavor of the Flathead Lake Monster line. Basically, it's a slightly tart cherry soda that is refreshing from start to finish. However, the drink is in no way perfect. The use of high fructose corn syrup leaves a noticeable coating in your mouth that definitely takes away from the experience. In addition, the label is confusing and busy with a generally unappealing image of a lizard-like beast. Refreshing, but definitely in need of some improvement.Reviewed on: 8/9/2005
