Bardstown Bourbon Company Breaks Ground on New Bottling Facility

The Bardstown Bourbon Company, 1500 Parkway Drive, recently broke ground on its new bottling facility, adjacent to the distillery and recently opened Visitors Center. The 47,000 square foot development will enable the team to bottle hundreds of thousands of cases of distilled spirits per year and is projected to generate 25 new jobs upon its completion in spring 2021. 

Boozie Cocktails Partners With Hayden Beverage For Pandemic Relief

Idaho-based canned cocktail company, Boozie, in partnership with Hayden Beverage, will donate $2 for each can of Boozie purchased at participating retailers starting June 1, 2020. Donations will go to the Boozie Cocktails For COVID-19 Idaho Relief Fund, pledging up to $60,000. Funds will support local registered nurses who are facing the frontlines of the pandemic.

Catoctin Creek Distilling Co.’s Becky Harris Elected President of ACSA Board of Directors

Becky Harris, co-founder and chief distiller of Catoctin Creek Distilling Company, has been appointed the American Craft Spirits Association (ACSA) President of the Board of Directors. Harris has served as a member of the Board of Directors since last May, where she was charged with appointing leadership to its governing committees.

Barrell Craft Spirits Launches Private Release Whiskey Series

Barrell Craft Spirits (BCS) has launched its highly-anticipated Private Release Whiskey Series. Each batch features a unique blend based around Barrell’s 18-year-old stocks of Kentucky Whiskey, which were then finished in a secondary barrel or cask. 

DrinkTru Secures $1.5M To “Save” Company

Boston-based functional shot brand DrinkTru has secured $1.5 million in new funding, founder James McNamara told BevNET last week. According to founder Jack McNamara, the company had been in talks over a potential investment with a venture capital partner for about four months before they pulled out in March, requiring the brand to quickly change gears.

SOS Hydration to Launch RTD Line

SOS Hydration, a California-based maker of electrolyte drink mixes, is the latest powdered beverage brand to take the leap to liquid, announcing today it will launch a ready-to-drink enhanced water line this summer. The line features Citrus, Fruit Punch, Mango and Watermelon flavors and will retail for $2.48 per 16.9 oz. bottle.
