This month, Maïzly is expected to launch the World's first corn-based milk alternatives, Original and Chocolate, in America. Tim Leclercq and Marcel van der Merwe, founders of Maïzly, developed a recipe free from artificial preservatives, and containing an excellent source of corn fiber for digestive health. Maïzly is shelf-stable, dairy-free, gluten-free, and allergen-free.

Maïzly Original is a nutritious and barista-friendly plant-based milk made with high-quality, non-GMO corn with chickpea protein and coconut oil. Maïzly’s complementary flavor and frothing ability make it an excellent choice for sweet and savory recipes without changing the taste. Each serving is packed with vitamins D2, A, E, and calcium, contains less than ¼ of the sugar of dairy milk, and is free from seed, nut, or vegetable oils.
“When developing this product, a delicious taste was absolutely a priority, along with ensuring that it had solid health or “better-for-you” credentials. But we also wanted to ensure that sustainability was at the core of everything we do,” explains Marcel Van Der Merwe, Co-Founder and COO.
Maïzly is committed to sustainability and global impact. Corn crops use the least amount of water and land per ton of produce when compared to any other crop. By utilizing corn, there is no waste of either water or ingredients during the entire production process. In 2023, Tim and Marcel were awarded the National Corn Growers Association Innovation Award in the US. At the World Plant-Based Expo, Maïzly was awarded gold for both their Original and Chocolate milk.
