Momokawa Saké, America’s Premier Craft Saké Brand, Embraces Its Heritage with Artistic Rebrand
The new labels incorporate original Suminagashi artwork, a traditional Japanese marbling technique
FOREST GROVE, OR – SakéOne, America’s premier craft saké brewer, is proud to announce the first label redesign in over a decade for the Momokawa portfolio. The comprehensive rebrand honors the dual heritage that has made Momokawa exceptional: authentic Japanese brewing tradition and the pioneering craftsmanship that Oregon is famous for.
The striking new label designs feature custom artwork created using Suminagashi, the ancient Japanese art of "floating ink." These marbled, flowing, organic patterns visually represent the brand's effortless ability to blend tradition with modern innovation.
Momokawa's unique brewing process begins with pure rainwater that flows through an ancient volcanic aquifer, imparting a distinctive minerality ideal for crafting Junmai Ginjo saké. This natural advantage, combined with traditional Japanese brewing techniques, has established Momokawa as America's premium craft saké brand. The Momokawa Collection Includes:
- Momokawa Diamond - A medium-bodied, balanced saké with notes of pear, melon, and soft minerality.
- Momokawa Silver - A special "tokubetsu" designation with a light, clean profile featuring citrus, mineral, and subtle spice.
- Momokawa Pearl Nigori - A coarsely filtered nigori with lush, bright character and tropical fruit notes.
- Momokawa Organic - A vibrant, medium-bodied saké with tropical fruit and sweet rice flavors.
- Momokawa Organic Nigori - A silky, full-bodied expression with coconut, citrus, and deep rice notes.
“While our labels are changing, our unwavering commitment to quality remains at the core of everything we do. The essence of Momokawa has always been about bringing together two worlds," said Paul Englert, ??President at SakéOne. "Our new labels better communicate this story while honoring both our pioneering history and our future innovations."
The Momokawa label refresh comes on the heels of Momokawa Diamond and Momokawa Silver each earning Silver Medals at the 2025 U.S. National Saké Appraisal.
The redesigned Momokawa collection will begin appearing on shelves in September 2025. Rebranded bottle images and more information about the Momokawa brand refresh are available at SakéOne.com.
