Three all-natural California apéritifs, one beautiful ritual for celebration
San Francisco Bay Area, Calif. (April 2026) - National Apéritif Day is a celebration of one of the great European traditions - taking time to pause at the end of the day and enjoy a pre-dinner drink meant to open up the appetite. Rue de Rêve, the Bay Area female-founded apéritif brand, was created to honor this cherished ritual and serve it up with a California flair. Founded by two longtime friends with a shared love of travel, drink, and design, Rue de Rêve is dedicated to inspiring a new American apéritif culture.
The portfolio of three expressions - Rosé, Blanc and Rouge - is made with small-production, organic California wines, grape spirits, fruit, and botanicals. Each is designed to be enjoyed over ice, nuanced and satisfying on its own. All three also make a compelling spritz with a splash of soda or a combination of soda and sparkling wine, and there are endless ways to enjoy Rue de Rêve in cocktails.
Rue de Rêve Rosé brings bright strawberry, fresh mint and a hint of rose hip, made with Provençal-style Rosé wine from the Northern California Coast. Light, aromatic and a beautiful way to awaken the palate.
Rue de Rêve Blanc leads with ripe tangerine and delicate elderflower, crafted from unoaked Russian River Valley Chardonnay. Vibrant and floral, it is a natural and more refined alternative to the Hugo Spritz.
Rue de Rêve Rouge is the boldest expression: orange, cardamom and gentian root layered over Beaujolais-style Zinfandel. Bittersweet and complex, it is a natural stand-in for Aperol or Campari, with a depth of flavor that those brands don't offer.

In celebration of National Apéritif Day, Rue de Rêve has created three alternatives to popular spritzes like Aperol and the Hugo Spritz. The Dream Street Spritz can be made with the Rosé, Blanc and Rouge varietals, all with very distinct flavor profiles. Jennifer has enjoyed a distinguished career as a thought-leader in marketing and brand development. With over 20 years of experience as a marketing executive at notable CPG companies and agencies, she has shaped some of the most recognizable brands in the industry. She is also the founder of Bien Sûr, a wine and lifestyle brand strategy company that embodies her passions and expertise in the beverage industry. In 2024, Jennifer co-founded Rue de Rêve Apéritifs with her business partner and close friend, Jeanne-Marie Hebert, bringing their dream of creating a modern California-style apéritif to life.
Alongside her entrepreneurial ventures, Jennifer applies her creative talents at an interior design firm, styling refined California homes. Her design inspiration stems from her travels, with a particular appreciation for the breathtaking beauty of the California Coast, also the place where the vision for Rue de Rêve first took form.
Jennifer celebrates the connection between food, drink, and the rich cultures and traditions they represent. She embraces the belief that some of life’s most cherished moments happen when we raise a glass together, advocating for incorporating this ritual into everyday life.

Jeanne-Marie brings a wealth of expertise and passion to Rue de Rêve Apéritifs. She is a seasoned entrepreneur and co-founder of Bay Design & Build, a leading Bay Area home design and build firm. With over 20 years in the design business, Jeanne-Marie has cultivated an admiration for spaces and products that exude an elevated style. Additionally, her expertise in management and development is paramount to the success of both of her businesses.
During Jeanne-Marie’s early career, she honed her hospitality acumen in the travel industry, specializing in sales and marketing for an adventure travel company. This experience fostered a lifelong passion for European exploration and cultural discovery, particularly the unique traditions surrounding food and beverage. In 2024, Jeanne-Marie co-founded Rue de Rêve Apéritifs with her business partner and close friend, Jennifer Kimpe, reflecting her appreciation for culinary excellence, beautiful aesthetics and a sophisticated lifestyle.
