DENVER, CO - June 3, 2025: Suavecito Tequila, the family-owned small-batch tequila company, proudly introduces the Founder’s Reserve Series – Single Barrel Añejo Tequila, an extraordinary expression that encapsulates the essence of craftsmanship and tradition. This limited-release masterpiece offers a rare and unfiltered glimpse into the art of tequila making, delivering an unparalleled experience for spirit connoisseurs.
Every bottle of Suavecito’s Founder’s Reserve Tequila is a testament to dedication and heritage. Crafted from hand-picked blue Weber agave grown in volcanic soil at 7,000 feet on the slopes of Volcán de Tequila in Jalisco, the spirit undergoes a meticulous process of slow-roasting and distillation. It is then aged for 24 months in retired Kentucky Bourbon barrels and then finished for six months in new French oak barrels, resulting in a tequila of exquisite depth and character.
The 2024 Founder’s Reserve is also a tribute to the art of tequila. Each bottle is individually numbered and signed by Suavecito Tequila founder Bill Foss, making it a true collector’s item. Only 15 barrels of the inaugural release were produced, making for a unique and rare fine spirit experience year to year. Additionally, the Founder’s Reserve is bottled at barrel strength, with an alcohol by volume (ABV) ranging from 51% to 54%, offering unparalleled purity and complex flavors while flipping the script on how people think about aged tequila.
Tasting Notes:
- Aging: Aged for 24 months in retired Kentucky Bourbon barrels and finished for 6 months in new oak from France.
- Aroma: An enticing blend of dried flowers, almonds, vanilla, dried stone fruit, tobacco, and exotic spices that excites the senses.
- Color: Crystalline with a deep amber hue.
- Flavor: A masterful blend of agave, orange peel, and toffee unfolds into complex layers of oak, dark chocolate, and roasted nuts, accented with hints of cinnamon and baking spice.
- Finish: Exceptionally long and satisfyingly warm with whispers of white pepper and smokiness. Aged French oak and earthy nuances luxuriate on the palate, evoking fine Cognac or ancient Armagnac.
“Savor it slowly,” Foss shares. “Every drop tells a story—of the land, the craft, and our passion for creating something truly exceptional.”
