Milagro Tequila Launches Cristalino Añejo, First New Liquid in Over a Decade

NEW YORK CITY (BY WAY OF MEXICO CITY):  Today, Milagro Tequila announces the brand’s first core range addition in 10 years, Milagro Cristalino Añejo. As the fastest-growing premium tequila brand in the United States*, Milagro Tequila is set to enter the rapidly growing Cristalino category with this exceptionally delicious spirit. 

Milagro’s Cristalino Añejo is crafted with 100% blue agave handpicked from the Highlands of Jalisco at peak maturity. It is aged for 18-24 months in American ex-Bourbon and French Oak casks before being artfully filtered through charcoal to obtain a crystal-clear liquid. The result is a distinctive tequila that delivers a balanced blend of caramel and vanilla sweetness while retaining Milagro’s signature bright agave taste.

“Like all Milagro Tequila offerings, Cristalino Añejo draws inspiration from Milagro’s roots - the vibrant, artistic world of Mexico City, where respect for tradition fuels innovation,” said Michael Giardina, Vice President of Marketing for Milagro. “Throughout the entire distilling process, we’ve honored age-old tequila-making practices while embracing innovative techniques unique to the Cristalino sub-category to create a one-of-a-kind liquid profile.” 

Combining the complexity and character of an Añejo with the bright, fresh notes of a premium Blanco, Milagro Cristalino Añejo is versatile enough to serve as the base for any classic cocktail or to be enjoyed on the rocks. Elegant fruit flavors imparted by the French Oak adds layers of richness and depth, rounding out the fresh agave flavors, making it the perfect spirit for both avid tequila enthusiasts as well as those just beginning to explore the category alike.

“One of my favorite things about the new Cristalino Añejo is it tastes as delicious alone as it does in a high-quality cocktail,” says Luis Lopez, Milagro’s West Coast Ambassador. “This liquid has notes of citrus, stone fruit and burnt sugar, making it a mixologist’s dream when creating classic recipes like an Old Fashioned or modern twist like Milagro’s Crystal Clear Espresso Martini.” 

Packaged in a one-of-a-kind crystalline bottle with a black ombre design that echoes Milagro’s iconic Core Range, the Milagro Cristalino Añejo bottle is crafted to be as extraordinary as the tequila inside. The elegant presentation makes a unique gift or luxurious addition to any celebration. Milagro Cristalino Añejo Tequila is bottled at 40% ABV and is now available for purchase nationwide, $59.99 MSRP.

This new product joins Milagro’s core range of offerings including Silver, Reposado and Añejo, recognizable for their tall, colorful bottles that stand out amongst the crowd. Milagro’s expressions are 100% blue agave tequila renowned for their bright, fresh agave flavor and exceptional smoothness. 

Milagro’s Crystal Clear Espresso Martini

Ingredients:

  • 2 Parts Milagro Cristalino Añejo
  • ¾ Part premium triple sec
  • ¼ Part vanilla-coffee bean syrup

Method: 

  • To make the syrup, add simple syrup, one vanilla bean and a handful of coffee beans to a pan on low heat, gently simmer, stirring occasionally and remove from heat source. 
  • Cool in the refrigerator for 30 mins to an hour, before filtering beans from liquid.
  • Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir. 
  • Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with coffee beans.

Milagro’s innovative distilling technique uses two types of stills for a smoother finish that retains a bright agave flavour. The first pot still distillation captures the fresh, vibrant mouthwatering flavors of the agave plant. The second still column distillation is used to “polish” the liquid resulting in Milagro’s exquisite smoothness.

The Milagro Tequila core range consists of Silver, Reposado, Añejo and Cristalino Añejo.  All Milagro Tequila expressions have an ABV of 40% alc./vol.
